Processing Officer

About the role

This part-time fixed-term Processing Officer position is based at the Dunedin Operations Centre. The role sits at the heart of parcel and freight movement, where you will help sort, consolidate, and send items onward so couriers can complete deliveries across New Zealand. The position runs until February 2027.

Shift details

• Hourly rate of $26.75 from 1 July, plus allowances
• Work pattern: Monday to Thursday from 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
• You will also act as Charge Hand on this shift

What the job involves

You will be part of a busy operations team supporting the movement of parcels and freight. The work is hands-on, fast-paced, and focused on accuracy, teamwork, and safety. The role contributes to the wider delivery network that helps serve communities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

What you’ll need

• A restricted driver licence, along with an OSH certificate or F endorsement, or a willingness to obtain these
• Comfort with physically demanding work, including lifting items of up to 25 kg
• Strong attention to detail and sound geographical awareness
• A reliable team approach with a strong focus on safety for yourself, others, and the workplace
• Forklift experience is preferred
