About the role

In this position, you’ll help make sure customer expectations are consistently met while working across different parts of the store, so the work stays varied from day to day. Your duties may include replenishing shelves, operating tills, checking stock levels, or preparing delivery picks. Whatever the task, the focus is on helping customers get what they need quickly, smoothly, and efficiently.

The ideal person will bring a strong can-do approach, enjoy providing excellent service, and be ready to put in the extra effort needed to support customers well.

Key responsibilities

You’ll be accountable for accurately selecting and preparing goods for dispatch, using a handheld terminal to pick items and notifying the manager of any discrepancies.

You’ll also check product condition, remaining shelf life, and the strength of the packaging before items are sent out for delivery.

Another important part of the role is delivering a high level of customer service by handling deliveries efficiently and meeting target times.

You should be courteous with delivery staff, answer questions and concerns appropriately, and escalate more complex issues to the right person when needed.
