Pick Up & Delivery Driver

Role overview

This position is responsible for carrying out gas pick-up and delivery work in a safe, efficient, timely, and professional manner, while supporting the organization’s quality and safety goals.

What the role involves

• Deliver cylinder gases and welding supplies promptly and politely to customers.
• Collect empty cylinders whenever needed.
• Load and unload trucks with fellow team members, making sure cargo is arranged efficiently and in line with regulations.
• Organize your own cylinder load, plan the route and daily schedule from the dispatched items, travel to the required sites, collect empties, and unload the truck after returning.
• Keep the truck and all equipment used on the job in proper working order and presentable condition.

Pay range: $35 to $38 per hour.

Applicants must include a recent copy of their Commercial Driver’s Abstract showing at least 5 years of history, issued within the last 30 days.

Required qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver’s licence with air brakes and a clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience in the delivery industry.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification.
