Role overview

This position is focused on running and improving bar service operations, creating high-quality beverage experiences, and supporting a polished guest-facing environment within a hospitality setting in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and present the bar menu while keeping it aligned with food and beverage standards and introducing fresh ideas that improve the guest experience.
• Partner with food and beverage supervisors to organize staff training on beverage preparation, service expectations, menu updates, and practical skill evaluations.
• Oversee assigned bar operations from start to finish, working closely with supervisors and managers to keep service smooth and efficient.
• Prepare drinks accurately by pouring, mixing, and blending to recipe so that quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction remain high.
• Guide bar service staff on a daily basis through task assignment, coaching, and performance feedback to maintain service standards.
• Provide attentive, professional, and welcoming service to guests, supported by strong knowledge of beverages.
• Track, review, and manage stock levels and inventory, keeping requisitions accurate, controlling costs, and avoiding service interruptions.
• Respond to guest complaints quickly and work with the team to resolve concerns in a constructive way.
• Follow occupational health, safety, and quality requirements, including ISO 9001:2008 standards, and take corrective action when needed.
• Carry out all duties according to departmental procedures while actively looking for ways to improve compliance, quality, safety, and overall service delivery across lounge operations.

Qualifications and experience

The role requires at least 4 years of experience working as a bartender or in a bar within the hospitality industry. A professional, well-groomed appearance is also expected.

Education and certifications

• High school completion is mandatory.
• A diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• WSET 1, 2, or 3, or another beverage-related certification, is preferred.
