Abbott Vascular is among the leading names in vascular care globally. Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will help support manufacturing activities by improving efficiency, refining processes, and helping the site achieve production goals. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and R&D teams to solve issues, strengthen performance, and support the launch of new products and technologies into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate equipment and process problems to improve yield, product quality, and overall operational performance.
• Spot opportunities to make existing processes more effective and introduce practical enhancements.
• Partner with Quality and R&D teams to support the smooth introduction of new products and processes.
• Assess and resolve technical issues, ranging from routine shop-floor challenges to more complex engineering matters.
• Support process development and validation work, including preparing and assisting with validation protocols and reports.
• Record observations, communicate key insights, and present outcomes to help guide decisions.
• Develop effective working relationships across functions and contribute to a strong, team-oriented environment.
• May coach and guide more junior colleagues where needed.

Requirements

• A Level 7 qualification with full credits in Engineering, Science, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a technical setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with confidence in handling and interpreting data.
• Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals and experience working in regulated environments.
• Clear communication skills and a cooperative, team-focused approach.
• Ability to organise work effectively, prioritise tasks, and consistently deliver results.
