Role overview

As an IT Internal Auditor, you will help strengthen the organisation’s financial and operational resilience by identifying technology risks, shaping audit strategy, and supporting decisions that safeguard growth. The position sits within Finance and is offered as a hybrid role with 1–2 days working from home.

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders across the business to map the IT risk landscape and build a strong, risk-led IT audit plan.
• Develop and improve the IT audit methodology, promoting consistent and high-quality practices across the organisation.
• Run a broad mix of IT audit and risk assignments alongside Internal Audit teammates and external providers, while using data analytics within audit work.
• Create and carry out IT audit programmes that test important business, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Advise on IT risk matters for projects, system rollouts, and wider change initiatives, bringing specialist expertise where needed.
• Lead IT investigations and reviews after incidents, working with the wider business to improve controls and risk management.

What you will bring

• At least 3 years of experience in IT audit, IT assurance, IT risk, or IT security, together with a third-level qualification in a relevant field.
• Professional credentials such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ITIL, or accounting qualifications are helpful, though not mandatory.
• Strong organisational ability, with the discipline to prioritise work, handle multiple tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Sharp analytical skills and the ability to review large data sets while keeping a clear view of key risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence explaining complex information to different audiences.
• A cooperative and professional style, with the ability to build relationships, influence others, coach colleagues, and manage confidential matters responsibly.
• Good judgement, commercial awareness, high ethical standards, and a practical mindset that adds value to the business.
