About the opportunity
This is a temporary HR coordination role based in Wellington within a values-driven organisation that actively embraces Te Ao Māori. The assignment is expected to run for around three months, with a solid chance of becoming permanent for the right person.
The position suits someone who can stay steady under pressure, work at pace, and act as the central support point for a busy and high-performing HR function.
What you'll do
- Deliver day-to-day HR coordination and support across the team.
- Handle a busy HR inbox and keep requests moving efficiently.
- Assist with recruitment from beginning to end.
- Support payroll administration tasks.
- Act as a reliable link within the HR team and wider stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- At least one year of experience in HR generalist work or HR coordination.
- Strong organisation skills with a proactive approach.
- The ability to remain calm, practical, and resilient in a fast-moving environment.
- Confident communication skills and the willingness to speak up when needed.
- Good Microsoft Office capability, particularly in Excel.
- An interest in Te Ao Māori and working in a culturally grounded environment.
