Role Overview
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to the required hotel standards. The role includes supervising team members, coordinating daily housekeeping activities, and ensuring that service quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction remain consistently high.
Key Duties
- Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house areas in line with hotel standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure guest amenities and supplies are replenished on time.
- Improve productivity by planning schedules and allocating available resources effectively.
- Recommend and help implement changes in methods or equipment to raise standards and efficiency.
- Ensure all team members follow the established periodic cleaning schedules.
- Respond quickly and effectively to guest needs and special requests to support guest satisfaction.
- Carry out regular room inspections and checklists.
- Accurately update room status in the assigned section.
- Follow the hotel’s health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Keep employees informed each day about priorities so service can be personalized.
- Handle other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment. Experience in the luxury or upscale hospitality sector is an advantage. Strong guest-handling skills, effective problem-solving, the ability to perform under pressure, and a collaborative team approach are important for success in this role.
