Overview
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino, situated on the Tsuut’ina First Nation in Calgary, is a high-energy entertainment destination. The organization is seeking an enthusiastic, service-focused Guest Services Agent to join a diverse team. The role suits someone who works well in a busy environment, values professionalism, and can contribute to strong guest experiences.
Role purpose
The Guest Services Agent is responsible for delivering efficient, polite assistance to every guest while following the resort’s policies, procedures, quality expectations, and service standards. The position calls for someone who can handle pace and pressure, remain composed during peak periods, and work shifts and weekends when needed.
Key duties
- Handle guest interactions promptly and courteously.
- Assist with luggage delivery to guest rooms.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to make sure requests such as cots, cribs, packages, and similar items are delivered correctly and on time.
- Follow shift checklists so all assigned tasks are completed within the required timeframe.
- Support guest satisfaction by responding to needs quickly, anticipating concerns, and addressing comments or complaints according to hotel and company policy.
- Help keep the work area clean and orderly by supporting cleaning-related tasks as needed.
- Promote teamwork while delivering strong service to both hotel employees and guests.
- Represent Grey Eagle Resort & Casino positively at all times.
- Carry out all assigned responsibilities efficiently and in line with corporate policies and procedures.
Experience, skills, and working conditions
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a server capacity within a fast-moving environment.
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication abilities, along with good organization and attention to detail.
- Comfort working collaboratively in a team, while also being able to work independently when required.
- Capability to perform effectively in a physically demanding, high-volume, multitasking setting.
- Availability for shift-based work.
- Ability to remain on your feet for long periods.
- Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
