Environmental Services Aide, Full Time, 2nd Shift

Role Overview

The Environmental Services Aide supports hospital cleanliness and sanitation across both patient-care and non-patient-care areas. The role involves routine cleaning, dusting, polishing furnishings, disinfecting spaces, handling waste and hazardous materials, moving furniture and equipment, and restocking supplies throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned duties in line with department procedures and standards.
• Use the 7-step cleaning process consistently and maintain inspection results of 85% or higher.
• Apply AIDET customer service practices when speaking with patients and visitors.
• Ensure cleaned rooms are tidy, organized, and ready for patient use.
• Store cleaning tools and supplies safely whenever they are not in use.
• Prepare and handle chemicals according to approved mixing instructions.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control requirements at all times.
• Take on other related tasks as needed.

Education and Experience

No prior experience is required. A high school diploma or GED is recommended. Previous exposure to clinical or hospital cleaning is preferred.
