Role overview
Peec AI is hiring a Data Scientist in Berlin to build and operationalize machine learning systems that improve recommendations and increase visibility in AI search. The role combines model development, data engineering, and close collaboration with engineering teams to bring solutions into production.
What you will do
- Build, evaluate, and deploy models that support Peec AI’s recommendation engine and help customers improve their presence in AI search results.
- Create methods that turn AI search behavior into practical insights and data-backed recommendations for brands.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of ML work, from experimentation and testing through production rollout.
- Partner with engineering to integrate machine learning capabilities into product and backend systems.
- Design data pipelines that collect, process, and analyze large-scale datasets.
What the company is looking for
- Solid backend development experience in Python, including work with APIs, data pipelines, or ML infrastructure.
- Hands-on familiarity with tools such as FastAPI, Docker, and cloud environments, ideally GCP.
- Strong interest in how LLMs operate and the ability to infer AI search patterns and convert them into product ideas.
- Experience moving projects from research into production in a dynamic startup setting.
- Strong problem-solving ability and comfort with ambiguous, changing requirements.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to customers and internal stakeholders.
