Role overview
CubeSmart is looking for a Data Scientist to join its Data Science team in Malvern, PA. This is a hybrid position with three in-office days each week. The role centers on building predictive models and analytics solutions that help guide business decisions. You will contribute both to the direction of data science work and to the hands-on delivery of model development, coding, and data analysis.
CubeSmart is a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on the development, acquisition, disposition, and management of self-storage facilities. Based in Malvern, PA, near Philadelphia, the company operates more than 1,500 locations across the United States. Over the last five years, CubeSmart has expanded substantially, adding roughly $1.5 billion in assets. This growth is driven by about 3,000 team members working with a culture of open communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models and other advanced analytics solutions to solve business problems.
- Carry out coding work, data preparation, and model validation as part of day-to-day project delivery.
- Help maintain the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of data science outputs.
- Examine data from different sources to uncover patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Support predictive modeling work related to customer segmentation, pricing, and inventory planning.
- Turn analytical results into practical recommendations for business teams.
- Assist in planning and running testing approaches such as A/B tests and controlled experiments.
- Review experimental outcomes to measure the impact of business actions.
- Help shape experimentation standards and best practices.
- Partner with teams across marketing, operations, investments, and finance to define business needs and data requirements.
- Support senior data scientists on initiatives that improve operations and customer experience.
- Contribute to identifying new data-driven opportunities and strategic projects.
- Stay current with developments in data science and machine learning.
- Share updates, findings, and insights through reports, visualizations, and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar area.
- Working knowledge of Databricks is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and close attention to detail.
- Hands-on proficiency with Python and SQL.
- Basic familiarity with machine learning methods and advanced analytics techniques.
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical ideas to stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-moving team environment while managing several tasks at once.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Malvern, PA, with three days per week in the office.
