Role overview
In this position, you will contribute to day-to-day cybersecurity operations with an emphasis on GRC and network security. Your work will support the upkeep, assessment, and improvement of security controls, while helping internal teams maintain visibility into risk, strengthen control performance, and close security issues through to remediation.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and manage operational procedures and controls for GRC and network security activities.
- Track security controls, review findings, and push remediation efforts to completion in a timely manner.
- Draft operational security reports, risk summaries, and documentation that reflects control performance and effectiveness.
Requirements
Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information security, or a closely related discipline.
- Practical understanding of security controls and how to carry out risk assessments.
Preferred qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in cybersecurity GRC or cybersecurity operations.
- Background in preparing reports and documentation related to security controls and control effectiveness reviews.
- Experience analyzing security findings and coordinating fixes across technical teams.
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and PCI-DSS.
- Experience engaging with auditors, compliance specialists, risk owners, and senior leaders.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or ISO 27001 are an advantage.
