Company Overview
Satisfire is focused on engineering, supplying, installing, and servicing sophisticated fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and large-scale properties. The business places a strong emphasis on safety, meeting regulatory obligations, and engineering quality, while providing dependable solutions adapted to each client’s operational requirements. Its experienced team handles projects from initial design through implementation and continues with maintenance, testing, and verification of system performance. This is a setting where contract professionals can make a direct contribution to safety-sensitive work and long-term client relationships.
Role Summary
The Contract Manager role is a full-time position based in Durban with a blended working arrangement that combines on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The purpose of the role is to oversee contracts across their full lifecycle, including preparing drafts, reviewing terms, negotiating conditions, and completing agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors connected to fire protection projects. The role also requires close coordination with project teams to monitor contract delivery, track milestones and obligations, manage compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards, and maintain orderly documentation.
Key Duties
In this position, you will work closely with sales, engineering, finance, and operations teams to handle contractual risks, address disputes or issues, and keep contract records accurate and up to date. You will also prepare reports, maintain contract databases, and help improve contract templates, working methods, and policy documents.
Qualifications and Experience
The role calls for strong capability in commercial contract drafting, review, negotiation, and administration. A solid understanding of legal and compliance principles related to construction, engineering, or fire protection services is important. Experience working with cross-functional teams in sales, engineering, finance, and operations will be valuable, as will confidence in documentation control, record management, and contract or project management software. The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication and a sharp eye for detail. The ability to juggle multiple contracts and deadlines independently in a hybrid work setup is also required. A bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Commerce, Engineering Management, or a related discipline is preferred, and a professional contract management certification would be an advantage. Experience in fire protection, construction, engineering, facilities management, or another technical environment is beneficial.
Additional Information
This role is intended for a professional who can support complex, safety-critical projects while helping strengthen contract systems, controls, and client partnerships over time.
