This role combines operational leadership with responsibility across HR, administration, finance, accounting, and cross-functional industry initiatives. The successful candidate will improve processes, raise efficiency, and help deliver key programmes for the organisation and its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review current internal workflows as IMAS grows, and redesign them so the organisation is prepared for change across operations, finance, administration, and HR.
- Identify opportunities to digitise and streamline manual HR, finance, and operational processes through technology and automation.
- Build and reinforce internal controls, working with external vendors where needed to improve IT security and strengthen operational governance.
- Partner with IMAS committees and internal teams to plan and deliver major industry events such as the IMAS Annual Conference and Digital Summit.
- Engage and manage event planners when required, while coordinating closely with speakers, sponsors, and the broader team to ensure event needs are met.
- Oversee general office administration, including landlord matters, tenancy renewals, and vendor and partner management.
- Work with the CEO and Treasurer on annual budgeting, cash management, banking solutions, financial close, and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Support performance reporting and ensure timely financial updates are prepared for the Treasurer and other relevant parties.
- Manage recruitment and hiring activities, and continuously review HR policies, procedures, and guidelines for improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to execute membership and sponsorship acquisition plans.
- Handle the operational and finance aspects of IMAS’s education platform, iLearn, and contribute to its future development.
- Coordinate with different IMAS committees and help ensure meetings are held regularly.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of solid experience in operations, along with strong working knowledge of finance and accounting.
- A professional who is mature, self-driven, and adaptable, with an agile mindset suited to changing work models in asset management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly in writing.
- Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to work well with internal and external partners.
