Role Overview
This position is for an associate dentist based in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, working on-site in a full-time capacity. The role combines patient-facing clinical care with coordination, documentation, and collaboration across clinical and administrative teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct dental assessments, identify oral health issues, and prepare treatment plans together with senior dentists.
- Handle basic procedures such as intraoral scans, cleanings, fillings, and similar routine treatments.
- Explain oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and aftercare steps so patients can maintain good dental health.
- Keep patient files current and complete, including treatment notes, medical histories, and progress updates.
- Work closely with the Chief General Dentist and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and care delivery.
- Continue learning about newer areas of dentistry, including aligners and implants, through training and ongoing education.
- Support senior doctors during dental procedures and surgeries whenever required.
- Build and maintain relationships with dentists, clinic chains, and other relevant partners in the region through outreach and trade fair participation.
- Coordinate with patients on the day of home or partner-clinic scans to make sure they arrive on time.
- Ensure home and partner clinic appointments are completed within the same day and the required turnaround time.
- Upload scan files and intraoral/extraoral photographs within the specified turnaround time and save them in the correct folder and drive.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized institute is required.
- A valid license to practice dentistry in India is mandatory.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 1 year of clinical experience may apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important for this role.
- A compassionate, patient-first attitude is expected.
- The role requires a cooperative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
