Role Overview

This position supports the housekeeping leadership team in maintaining high standards across guest rooms and shared spaces, while also helping guide, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team. The role involves close coordination with other departments to help create a memorable guest experience in a well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Head Housekeeper to ensure rooms are presented to a spotless, well-finished standard that encourages repeat visits.
• Guide the housekeeping team through a hands-on leadership style that builds confidence, support, and autonomy.
• Maintain high standards in bedrooms and public areas by following SOPs, providing relevant training, and carrying out regular inspections.
• Spot opportunities to improve workflows, methods, and team practices, and help put better processes in place.
• Monitor housekeeping spending and keep costs aligned with budget expectations.
• Oversee stock levels and order control within housekeeping.
• Support the growth of team members so they can reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with front office, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to deliver a consistent guest experience.
• Contribute to working with external housekeeping service providers.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should bring a genuine interest in hospitality, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility. The ideal person enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, is comfortable leading others, pays close attention to detail, and is ready to take ownership of their work. Experience in housekeeping at a similar level is preferred, though candidates prepared to step into a leadership role are also welcome. Familiarity with Opera, Knowcross, or comparable property management systems is expected.
