Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Project Manager position based in Atlanta, GA. The role exists to assist project managers in coordinating project operations and keeping work moving efficiently from planning through close-out.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support day-to-day field activities and help coordinate subcontractor organization
- Collect project schedules from clients and align them with submittal timelines
- Maintain logs for all submittals and RFIs
- Follow up with detailing, engineering via Jira, and clients regarding submittal and RFI status
- Set up and maintain project folders for submittals, RFIs, and design drawings
- Prepare status updates on submittals and RFIs
- Help coordinate resources so contract deadlines are met
- Contribute input toward construction scheduling
- Process production packages for fabrication
- Capture routine jobsite photographs
- Coordinate material deliveries
- Assist field superintendents and foremen with shop drawings and design drawings
- Review management logs daily and flag items needing immediate attention
- Push for responses and actions through the appropriate responsible parties
- Escalate delayed actions or missing responses to the relevant manager
- Attend progress meetings, gather relevant data, and enter it into the designated software
- Make sure costs are assigned and coded correctly
- Support adherence to project close-out requirements
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management or a closely related discipline, or 4 years of experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of program management, construction management, development, and construction marketing concepts, procedures, and terms
- Strong ability to prepare reports, proposals, technical correspondence, and other documentation
- Comfortable working both in an office setting and in the field when needed
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook
- Willingness and ability to learn company-specific software as required
