Role overview
An opportunity has opened up in the Marketing team for a motivated Business Sales Consultant focused on appointment setting. The position came about because of an internal promotion. In this role, you will place strategic outbound calls to carefully selected prospects, partner with the Head of Marketing to uncover strong leads, and secure high-quality meetings for sales teams across Australia.
You will contribute directly to new business generation and will be rewarded through a commission plan that pays for both appointments booked and deals closed by the sales team.
This position may be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.
Key duties
- Contact qualified prospects by phone to arrange meetings for the sales team.
- Carry out focused market research to find fresh business opportunities.
- Keep CRM records accurate and current in Pipedrive.
- Complete follow-up work, including call reporting, appointment tracking, and outcome updates.
About you
The right candidate will bring prior cold-calling experience in a B2B, phone-based environment, along with the confidence to speak professionally over the phone and the motivation to consistently hit KPI targets. A strong interest in sales, a self-driven mindset, and a results-focused approach are essential.
You should also have clear communication and organisation skills, be able to understand complex information quickly and explain it simply, and stay effective under pressure. Financial understanding is an advantage. Experience with Pipedrive or a similar CRM platform is strongly preferred.
