Core responsibilities
This role is split between forecasting work and business intelligence analysis.
- Create monthly and yearly demand forecasts at the SKU and category level using historical sales patterns, seasonality, and Amazon demand indicators.
- Separate baseline demand from promotional demand and factor in new product launches, seasonal shifts, and advertising support when building forecasts.

- Explain month-over-month forecast changes and the main drivers behind them to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to convert demand plans into procurement, production, inventory placement, and capacity needs, especially around seasonal demand spikes and promotions.
- Help improve efficiency, reduce chargebacks, and strengthen forecasting processes.
- Track key business metrics including sales, profitability, inventory, and chargebacks to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Review sales performance, customer behavior, and competitive activity to inform recommendations.
- Prepare and present performance reports with clear, actionable insights for teams and leadership.
- Stay current on Amazon policies, marketplace updates, and algorithm changes to protect and improve competitiveness.
Experience and qualifications
Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience forecasting for an Amazon account, either 1P or 3P, ideally in consumer packaged goods, retail, or e-commerce. Strong working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central is important, along with familiarity with Retail Analytics, demand planning methods such as P70/P80/P90, and merchandising tools. Experience with Amazon advertising and promotional planning is also preferred. Candidates should be comfortable using an ERP system such as Epicor or Apprise, and have advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, and complex formulas. The role also calls for strong attention to detail, the ability to work with data extracts and reconciliations, and a consistent ability to meet recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with e-commerce analytics tools and third-party Amazon management platforms is an added advantage.
