About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Zero Harm Advisor to join our major commercial construction project in Auckland. Reporting to the Lead Zero Harm Advisor, this role involves collaborating with the operational team and subcontractors to champion and drive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices to support the project team in achieving outstanding HSE performance.
- Ensure thorough implementation of Hawkins and Downer HSE policies and procedures across the project.
- Produce and maintain accurate HSE records, reporting and ensure full compliance with both internal protocols and statutory reporting obligations.
- Actively monitor adherence to legislative requirements and the HSE standards set by Hawkins and Downer.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health and Safety role, working for a main contractor.
- Preferred Construction or Health and Safety related qualification. Candidate to hold a Health & Safety in the Workplace Certificate (Level 4), Diploma (Level 6) or level 4 and willing to do a Diploma.
- ICAM Incident Investigation trained.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
