Job description

Role overview

Asuria Training is seeking a Youth Mentor to join its Parramatta office on a fixed-term contract through to the end of October 2026. This role is suited to someone who brings a proactive attitude, strong customer service capability, and a genuine interest in helping young people move into lasting work.

Asuria is an Australian employment services provider focused on guiding people toward sustainable jobs. The organisation values a supportive, people-first approach and aims to help participants realise their potential.

What you will do

In this position, you will support youth participants in achieving sustainable employment outcomes through tailored coaching, placement support, and ongoing guidance. You will also work with employers to connect the right talent to the right opportunities.

  • Work toward defined performance targets and KPIs.
  • Provide individualised coaching, job placement support, and continued assistance to participants.
  • Assess each client’s specific employment needs and challenges.
  • Partner with employers to help close the gap between available jobs and suitable candidates.

What the role calls for

The ideal candidate will bring experience from employment services or a related environment, along with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly. The work requires careful attention to detail, solid administration skills, and confidence using IT systems.

You’ll need to balance empathy, respect, and professionalism with a focus on achieving strong outcomes for both participants and the business.

Mandatory checks and compliance

Before starting, you must hold a valid Police Check and Working with Children Check. You will also need to create a myGovID so you can access government data relevant to the role.

Benefits

Asuria offers a range of employee benefits, including professional development opportunities, paid parental leave, bonus leave, salary packaging options, and access to a discount program across many products and services.

Equal opportunity and inclusion

Asuria is recognised as a Diversity Council Australia Inclusive Employer for 2024-2025. The company welcomes applications from people with disability, LGBTIQA+ individuals, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As a child-safe organisation, Asuria is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children.

Recruitment support

If you need any adjustments during the hiring process, you can note them in your application or contact the employer directly by email to discuss your requirements.
