Deloitte is looking for an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to help deliver complex, large-scale Workday transformation programmes in Australia. This role sits within a fast-growing Workday practice and is suited to someone who enjoys working in a high-performance consulting environment.

What the role involves
You will join Deloitte’s HR Transformation team as a Workday HCM Functional Consultant, with specialisation in one or more areas such as Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, Security or Learning. The position focuses on delivering functional outcomes across Workday engagements for a variety of industries.
- Lead the functional delivery of Workday projects across different client environments.
- Work across project stages from design through to deployment.
- Gather requirements and help define solutions that address business issues.
- Assess existing processes and systems, then shape improved future-state designs.
- Explain Workday capabilities clearly to stakeholders and client teams.
- Build agreement around business processes and operating models.
- Collaborate regularly with client subject matter experts.
- Configure the Workday application to meet project needs.
- Recommend improvements to methods, procedures and role design where appropriate.
What Deloitte is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring solid Workday consulting experience, practical functional configuration skills, and the ability to support clients through decision-making and requirements definition.
- Workday Core HCM certification.
- At least 2 complete Workday implementation lifecycles.
- Experience contributing to all phases of a project, from design through deploy.
- Hands-on functional configuration experience in one or more Workday modules, including Core HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent & Performance, Security or Learning.
- Strong experience using Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of how Core HCM connects with other Workday modules.
- Exposure to HR functions, HR processes and leading practices is preferred.
- Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering capability.
- Ability to guide clients through choices and decisions.
