This remote contract role is focused on applying strong Word and PDF expertise to support the development of next-generation AI systems. The work contributes directly to how models are trained to learn, reason, and perform using high-quality, real-world examples. Prior experience in AI is not necessary; what matters most is deep subject-matter knowledge and strong document-handling skills.
Key responsibilities
- Review, edit, and format Word and PDF files thoroughly so they meet client and industry standards.
- Handle tracked edits, comments, and version control across extensive and complex documents.
- Build, update, and complete dynamic forms and templates for a range of professional use cases.
- Accurately pull information from Word and PDF documents and consolidate it as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely, and confidential document support.
- Apply and maintain document workflows for projects tied to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Guide stakeholders on advanced Word and PDF features and share best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of intensive, professional experience using Word and PDF tools.
- Strong command of formatting, tracked changes, review workflows, and markup tools.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with very high attention to detail.
- Master’s degree, PhD, or JD in a relevant discipline such as law, healthcare, academia, public policy, or finance.
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 clients or similar highly regulated, complex environments.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting with deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Experience in specialist settings such as law, healthcare administration, academic research, government consulting, or finance/real estate operations is preferred.
- Advanced PDF capability, including form fields, digital signatures, and secure document handling, is preferred.
- A portfolio showing successful Word and PDF project delivery is preferred.
