Role Overview
This remote contract opportunity is for a Word and PDF specialist who will contribute to the training of advanced AI systems using high-quality, real-world document work. The position focuses on deep expertise in document handling rather than prior AI experience, with an emphasis on producing accurate and reliable outputs that help models improve their reasoning and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and format Word and PDF files with a high level of accuracy, following both general industry standards and client-specific requirements.
- Handle tracked changes, comments, and version control across extensive and complex documents.
- Build, update, and complete dynamic forms and templates for a variety of professional use cases.
- Extract information from Word and PDF documents and organize it into clear, usable formats.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver precise, timely, and confidential document support.
- Apply document workflows for projects tied to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Guide and assist stakeholders on advanced Word and PDF tools, techniques, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of intensive professional experience using Word and PDF tools.
- Strong command of document formatting, markup, tracked changes, and review processes.
- Excellent written and spoken communication abilities, along with strong attention to detail.
- A Master’s, PhD, or JD in a relevant discipline such as law, healthcare, academia, public policy, or finance.
- Experience supporting Fortune 500 clients or working in similarly complex and regulated settings.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, deadline-focused environment with a self-driven approach.
Preferred Background
Experience in specialist roles such as legal practice, healthcare administration, academic research, government consulting, or finance/real estate operations will be an advantage. Strong knowledge of advanced PDF capabilities, including form fields, digital signatures, and secure file handling, is also preferred. A portfolio that demonstrates successful Word and PDF project delivery would be valuable.
Additional Information
This role is offered as a remote contract position. The work supports AI training initiatives, and the company notes that no prior AI background is necessary as long as the candidate brings the relevant subject-matter expertise.
