The home has 64 bedrooms and provides a warm, homely setting for people with a range of care needs. The care team is focused on delivering personal, respectful support so residents can truly feel at home.

This position is for daytime hours, 36 hours each week, including weekends on a rota.

What the role involves

  • Planning and delivering a broad mix of activities inside the home for individuals, small groups, and larger resident groups, tailored to different interests and life experiences.
  • Working toward goals that improve residents’ day-to-day lives, including getting to know each resident through the Resident of the Day initiative.
  • Building links with nearby community organisations and the wider local area.
  • Creating an enjoyable atmosphere by bringing energy, imagination, and fresh ideas to resident wellbeing.
  • Arranging trips and experiences in the local community for both small groups and individual residents.
  • Coordinating key calendar events throughout the year, including seasonal celebrations and charity-focused activities.

What they are looking for

The ideal candidate will be approachable, warm, engaging, and able to make activities suitable and enjoyable for all residents. A background or understanding of the care sector would be helpful.

  • Friendly and compassionate approach.
  • Strong planning and activity development skills.
  • Good at building relationships with residents and their families.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, supportive, and a strong team player.
  • Experience delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to work independently in the community and travel for planning activities and resident outings.
  • Own vehicle required, along with business insurance.

In return

Along with pension contributions and annual leave, the employer offers an annual pay review, a tailored induction and training programme, ongoing development, access to nationally recognised qualifications, a Recommend a Friend bonus scheme, a Blue Light Discount Card, and an annual staff awards programme recognising excellent contributions across all homes. Some benefits are subject to terms and conditions.
