Role overview
Overlanders Manufacturing LP is hiring an experienced MIG and TIG welder for a stable, production-driven shop role in Abbotsford, British Columbia. The position focuses on welding and assembling metal components using set procedures and fixtures to deliver repeatable quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do
- Weld and assemble metal parts using MIG and TIG processes.
- Work from established methods, fixtures, shop drawings, and work instructions to maintain consistency.
- Carry out repetitive production welding tasks in a busy manufacturing setting.
- Follow both verbal and written direction in English.
- Collaborate with teammates and adapt to training on additional processes, including robotic welding if needed.
What you bring
- At least 2 years of hands-on MIG and TIG welding experience.
- Ability to interpret shop drawings and work instructions accurately.
- Comfort working in a steady production environment with repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to learn and contribute positively in a team setting.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Robotic welding exposure is considered an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
Schedule and training
The first 2 to 3 months include training on the day shift, running Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:15 PM. After training, the regular schedule moves to the afternoon shift from Monday to Thursday, 4:15 PM to 2:15 AM, for a total of 40 hours per week. Every Friday is off, and there are no rotating shifts.
Pay and review cycle
Hourly pay ranges from CA$22 to CA$26, depending on experience and the weld test. While working the Monday to Thursday afternoon shift, an extra CA$1.50 per hour is paid for all hours on that shift. Performance and wage reviews are scheduled at 3, 6, and 12 months.
