Team Global Express NZ provides freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and logistics support to customers throughout New Zealand, from Kaitaia down to Invercargill. About the role
The Christchurch logistics team is looking for an experienced warehouse professional to handle customer orders through picking, packing, shipping, and freight movement. This position requires strong reach and forklift capability, including experience operating reach equipment up to 10 metres and loading/unloading freight safely.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Key responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound freight in a safe and secure manner.
- Pick, pack, and send customer orders with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Work independently when needed, while also contributing effectively in a team.
- Support branch performance by helping meet operational targets.
- Follow health and safety procedures and operate material handling equipment correctly and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues.
What we're looking for
To succeed in this role, you should bring a solid work ethic, a collaborative attitude, and previous experience with reach and counterbalance forklifts. You will also need an OSH (WorkSafe) forklift operator certificate, background in freight or logistics, and confidence using RF scanners. Attention to detail, practical problem-solving ability, and a strong safety mindset are essential. The job involves physical work, including lifting items of up to 20kg.
