Role overview
Choice Stores is expanding quickly and is looking for reliable, energetic warehouse staff to support its retail operations in Ashbourne, County Meath. This position suits someone who enjoys fast-paced logistics work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to grow within a supportive team.
What you will do
- Pick customer orders, pack them correctly, and move them through the fulfilment process within expected timeframes.
- Unload incoming deliveries and load outgoing vehicles while following safe lifting practices.
- Keep inventory organised and up to date so stock levels remain accurate.
- Assemble stable and safe pallets for storage or transport.
- Verify all goods entering and leaving the warehouse are checked in and out correctly.
- Follow receiving and dispatch processes consistently.
- Use warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
- Take part in regular stock counts and flag any differences found.
- Cooperate with colleagues to meet daily warehouse targets and wider team goals.
- Work in line with company rules, especially health and safety requirements.
What we are looking for
- Experience in a warehouse or similar environment is desirable.
- Forklift certification would be an added advantage, although it is not compulsory because training can be provided.
- Good planning, organisation, and time management abilities.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a busy, team-based setting.
- A strong level of physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy items safely.
- A positive approach and a dependable work ethic.
Pay and benefits
- Hourly pay for workers aged 20 and over: €14.15 to €14.90 per hour.
- Workers aged 19 receive 90% of the adult rate.
- Workers aged 18 receive 80% of the adult rate.
- Workers under 18 receive 70% of the adult rate.
