Role Summary
We are looking for a full-time Warehouse Inventory Officer to work on-site in Tanzania. In this role, you will oversee inventory flow, keep stock properly stored and arranged, and make sure inventory records remain accurate and up to date. You will also carry out routine stock checks, support replenishment planning, and apply control measures that reduce stock differences and losses. The position requires regular coordination with warehouse teams, suppliers, transport partners, and internal departments.
Core Duties
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is organized and stored correctly.
- Carry out periodic stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and data entry in warehouse or inventory systems.
- Track inventory movement and support timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
- Put inventory control processes in place to reduce discrepancies and losses.
- Work with warehouse personnel, suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hands-on knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and record maintenance.
- Good organization skills, strong time management, and close attention to detail.
- Comfort using data entry tools and inventory or warehouse management software.
- Ability to study inventory data and estimate future stock needs accurately.
- Clear communication and teamwork abilities for dealing with colleagues and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly in a busy environment.
- Previous exposure to warehouse operations or inventory-related work is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of local logistics and supply chain practices in Tanzania.
- Training or certification in inventory management or a similar field is preferred.
