Role Overview
The Dispatcher is accountable for coordinating all scheduled pickups received through customer service or online booking. The position focuses on making sure each pickup is routed to the appropriate driver on time and that any failed collections are handled quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate pickups to drivers based on route planning, with attention to punctuality and accuracy; also coordinate urgent pickup requests to meet customer deadlines, with much of the process supported by automated assignment tools.
- Stay in regular communication with customers whenever pickup requests face unexpected delays.
- Oversee driver device allocation and help resolve straightforward technical issues when needed.
- Track pallet shipment collection requests and issue daily email pre-alerts for pallet export shipments.
- Monitor missed pickup cases and provide follow-up support to the Customer Experience Coordinator (CEC).
- Assist the CEC coordinator with package location checks, delivery support, supply requests, driver follow-ups, delivery change requests, and follow-up on undelivered packages through email or phone.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Good familiarity with Singapore roads and local areas.
- Understanding of operational procedures, work processes, and business operating hours.
- Ability to learn and use internal systems, with training provided.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Clear customer communication skills with a service-oriented approach for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfort with tasks that may involve light physical effort.
Working Arrangements
This is a fully onsite position. The workweek is 5.5 days, with alternate Saturdays included. Working hours are 9:30am to 6:30pm on Monday, 10:30am to 7:30pm from Tuesday to Friday, and 10:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday.
