Role overview
Delmar International Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to support the Warehouse Supervisor in keeping daily warehouse operations accurate, organized, and on schedule in Mississauga, Ontario. This position focuses on timely order handling, inventory control, task coordination, and data entry within the warehouse management system.
Key duties
- Process inbound receipts, handle returns, release outbound orders in the system, and help keep order flow moving smoothly.
- Pick and pack orders, create shipment labels, assemble skids, and record transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Track warehouse records using WMS and handheld RF scanning tools to maintain accurate information on inventory, orders, and shipment activity.
- Allocate work to team members according to daily priorities and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with coworkers, drivers, and other stakeholders to support efficient day-to-day operations.
- Prepare inventory, order-status, and performance reports as needed.
- Carry out physical counts and cycle counts, compare results against system data, and investigate differences using RF scanners and desktop systems before escalating issues when necessary.
- Keep inventory records current by monitoring incoming and outgoing goods and checking units of measure (UOM) and volumetrics.
- Maintain warehouse location accuracy within the WMS.
- Identify damaged, missing, or mislocated inventory, report it promptly, and help resolve issues according to company procedures.
- Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts, audits, discrepancy resolution, and year-end audit preparation.
Requirements
- Previous exposure to distribution or manufacturing environments is considered an advantage.
- Comfort using MS Office and general computer systems.
- Valid Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license; additional certifications may be needed, such as fall arrest, clamp, or cherry picker.
- Hazmat certification is an added advantage.
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 50 lb.
- Good numeracy, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
