About the Role
Join Pomerleau's logistics team as a Warehouse Clerk and play a crucial role in supporting our large-scale civil and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for the efficient management of goods, from receiving and storing to shipping, ensuring that all necessary materials and tools are readily available for our construction sites. This position offers the chance to collaborate with various logistics teams and contribute to projects valued from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.
Responsibilities
- Receive, count, weigh, sort, check, classify, pack, and unpack incoming goods from suppliers, offices, and construction sites, including tools, parts, consumables, and materials.
- Organize and store inventory in an orderly manner to ensure easy accessibility and maintain optimal condition.
- Process merchandise requests and prepare shipments for dispatch to construction sites or suppliers.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate handling equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and filing systems, utilizing both manual and computerized methods.
- Prepare orders for inventory replenishment.
- Provide recommendations to users regarding stocked products and tools.
- Complete all necessary shipping and tracking documentation.
- Identify and manage stored tools and equipment.
- Participate actively in inventory checks and stock-taking procedures.
- Monitor measuring equipment in compliance with ISO standards.
Requirements
- Possess a DES, ASP, and/or DEP in a relevant field.
- Accumulate 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable role, such as inventory management, parts clerk, storekeeper, or tool rental.
- Demonstrate adaptability and autonomy while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Exhibit a rigorous, methodical, and meticulous approach to work.
Additional Assets
- Hold WHMIS training or training in the transportation of dangerous goods (TDG).
- Possess experience operating a forklift or lift platform.

Eligibility
This role is suitable for individuals with a relevant technical diploma and 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or similar warehouse functions. Candidates with WHMIS or TDG training, and forklift operation experience, will have an advantage. Applicants should be adaptable, autonomous, rigorous, and team-oriented.
