Role Summary
The Vice President of Strategy will own the company’s long-range strategic direction across decentralized AI infrastructure, Web3, and data availability solutions. This leadership role is based in Chicago, Illinois and is structured as a hybrid position with partial work-from-home flexibility.
Key Focus Areas
In this position, you will assess market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to turn research into practical priorities and execution plans. You will work closely with leaders across executive management, product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market functions to ensure strategy supports revenue growth, partnership development, and investment decisions.
You will also guide major strategic initiatives, prepare materials for board and investor discussions, and provide recommendations on partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and capital allocation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and steer the company’s long-term strategic roadmap across AI infrastructure, Web3, and data availability.
- Perform market, competitor, and industry analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Assess potential products, partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives and prioritize the most promising paths.
- Convert strategic findings into actionable plans that can be executed by cross-functional teams.
- Work with executive leadership and functional teams to align strategy with revenue goals and investment priorities.
- Lead high-impact strategy projects from framing through recommendation and implementation support.
- Create board-ready and investor-ready presentations and strategic updates.
- Advise leadership on partnerships, M&A considerations, and capital allocation decisions.
Requirements
- Strong analytical ability to bring together technical, financial, and market information into clear recommendations.
- Experience with strategic planning and digital strategy, including multi-year roadmap development in technology-led environments.
- Previous consulting or comparable strategy experience, with a track record of leading cross-functional efforts and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Solid financial acumen, including the ability to work with financial models, unit economics, and investment or business case evaluation.
- Experience in AI, blockchain/Web3, infrastructure, or a closely related deep-tech area is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership in developing and mentoring high-performing, diverse teams in a fast-moving collaborative setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives, partners, and investors.
- Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
