Job description
Redwire is seeking a visionary and dynamic Vice President of Programs to spearhead our strategic growth and operational excellence. This pivotal executive position is responsible for driving the organization's expansion into new markets, cultivating strategic alliances, and leading comprehensive business development efforts. The ideal candidate will possess substantial, proven success in securing new business within both domestic and international uncrewed systems and/or robotics sectors.
Responsibilities- Support the refinement, development, and implementation of the company's long-term strategic vision and growth plan.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Collaborate consistently with the executive team to align business strategies with overall company objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Cultivate strong, positive relationships with clients, partners, and industry leaders.
- Lead negotiations and successfully close high-impact deals with strategic partners and clients.
- Drive market expansion initiatives to enter new geographic regions.
- Continuously monitor regulatory changes within the uncrewed systems industry and develop adaptive strategies.
- Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives.
- Provide regular updates and key metrics to the executive team and board of directors on progress and milestones.
- Assume all other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or a comparable role, with a preference for experience in the uncrewed systems, robotics, or technology industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
- Significant experience in a senior leadership capacity, guiding strategic planning and execution within the UAS and UAV aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of the UAV industry and its associated regulatory landscape.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to utilize data and insights for strategic decision-making.
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Established relationships with international partners to support ongoing growth.
This role can be based in Huntsville, AL, Herndon, VA, San Luis Obispo, CA, or remotely within the United States.
FLSA StatusExempt
Salary RangeThe anticipated annual salary for this position is between $315,000 and $320,000. This range is an estimate and may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
Clearance RequirementsThis position may require access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR regulations. Applicants will need to provide documentation to verify US person status under these regulations.
Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe work environment combines a standard office setting with elements of a production area. Employees will use typical office equipment and need to maintain focus and attention to detail amidst potential interruptions. The role may involve standing or sitting for extended periods, and occasional physical activities like walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Good vision is required for reading and computer work, and effective verbal and auditory communication skills are essential. Occasional travel by air or automobile may be necessary. Personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, may be required in the production environment. Employees may be expected to lift up to 30 pounds.
