Role Overview

This position is a full-time, independent-contractor engagement. It is designed for an experienced hospitality specialist who can act as the main operational contact across a portfolio of boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, and premium short-term rental properties.

The role focuses on managing the full guest experience, from booking coordination and calendar control through to check-out support. The successful candidate will combine hospitality know-how with strong systems experience to keep inventory accurate, maintain excellent guest service, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guest queries, special requests, arrival details, and urgent troubleshooting.
  • Manage reservation calendars, availability, rate updates, and booking changes across a mixed property portfolio using Guesty and Uplisting.
  • Oversee listing activity and guest review responses on major platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, and Google, with a focus on protecting reputation.
  • Coordinate daily with onsite hotel staff as well as remote housekeeping and maintenance teams to keep turnovers and property readiness on track.
  • Manage OTA-related disputes, chargebacks, overbooking risks, and administrative documentation, including arrival reports and operational records.
  • Provide dependable after-hours coverage for guest messages and emergencies, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Strong, practical experience with Guesty and Uplisting is essential.
  • At least 2 years of experience handling reservations and guest relations in both traditional hospitality and short-term rental environments.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with a polished, empathetic, guest-focused style.
  • Availability to work in line with UK business hours, plus flexibility for evenings and weekends when needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of OTA platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia Group, including rate structures and dispute handling.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage a complex portfolio independently.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to dynamic pricing tools such as PriceLabs or Beyond Pricing.
  • Experience with hotel channel managers such as SiteMinder.
