The organisation is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Village Manager to take charge of Waterford Village in Hobsonville and help bring this purpose to life each day.
Role overview
In this position, you will oversee every part of village operations and create a setting where residents, staff, and visitors feel welcomed, respected, and included. You will shape a positive culture, build strong relationships, and guide a committed team that delivers outstanding resident experiences. - Foster a lively and connected community where residents can continue living with choice, independence, and purpose.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and motivate a strong team aligned with Oceania’s values and mission.
- Improve occupancy and sales outcomes for independent living units while contributing to the village’s future growth.
- Oversee budgets and financial results, including responsibility for profit and loss performance.
- Build effective working relationships with residents, relatives, local partners, and external stakeholders.
- Spot and implement practical improvements and innovative ideas that lift resident wellbeing and operational standards.
- Maintain compliance, quality, and safety expectations while encouraging accountability and care across the site.
What you will need
- Demonstrated leadership background with proven success in creating engaged, high-performing teams.
- The drive, energy, and personal presence to shape a village culture residents are proud to call home.
- Strong business understanding, including experience with budgets and delivering commercial growth.
- Evidence of achieving sales targets, key performance indicators, and occupancy objectives.
- Strong relationship-building ability and the confidence to form trusted partnerships internally and externally.
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, with comfort using multiple systems and technologies.
- A commitment to service quality and a mindset focused on doing every interaction well.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and people leadership capability.
- Good judgement, resilience, and composure when working under pressure.
- Solid problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to finding solutions and opportunities.
- Personal values that reflect care, connection, respect, and continuous improvement.
Eligibility
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
