Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Video Editor to join our Post Production team, specializing in transforming raw footage into compelling, emotionally engaging long-form podcasts and videos. This role involves collaboration with producers and team members to produce polished episodes with strong storytelling and viewer appeal. The ideal candidate combines a keen editorial sense with technical expertise and a deep understanding of narrative pacing, motion graphics, and social media content optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver full-length podcast and interview videos from initial footage to final product
• Create engaging short-form videos optimized for social channels like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Identify emotional highlights, effective hooks, and story beats within footage
• Shape narrative flow, pacing, and emotional arcs to enhance viewer engagement
• Design cold opens, teasers, and viral clips that captivate audiences quickly
• Use techniques such as jump cuts, music, sound design, and visual rhythm to improve storytelling impact
• Adapt editing styles to platform-specific viewing behaviors and audience preferences
• Collaborate with producers for iterative feedback and creative refinement
• Manage multi-camera interview edits, timeline organization, syncing, and media workflows
• Incorporate motion graphics, animated typography, lower thirds, captions, and visual effects to strengthen clarity
• Conduct color correction, audio cleanup, and apply finishing touches to outputs
• Maintain organized project files, templates, exports, and archival systems
• Stay updated on current social media trends, editing innovations, and audience engagement strategies
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring brand consistency

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 to 7+ years of professional video editing experience focused on long-form podcasts, interviews, documentary-style, and social media content
• Demonstrable expertise with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Advanced skills in motion graphics and animation, including kinetic text, compositing, transitions, and branded visual systems
• Knowledge of Cinema 4D or similar 3D/motion design software is advantageous
• Strong grasp of pacing, storytelling mechanics, retention editing, and platform-specific viewer behaviors
• Experience producing highly engaging short-form content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Capability to edit multi-camera setups and conversational content with editorial judgment
• Proficiency in sound design, music pacing, color correction, and finishing processes
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail within complex post-production workflows
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with fast turnaround and iterative feedback in a high-volume setting
• Excellent collaboration skills working alongside producers, creatives, and social teams
