Role Summary
The Vice President, Global Procurement is a senior full-time remote leadership position accountable for shaping and delivering BASE's worldwide procurement strategy. The role covers the full sourcing lifecycle, from supplier evaluation and selection through contract discussions and ongoing performance tracking, with a focus on securing dependable and cost-efficient procurement of goods and services. It also involves reducing global costs, streamlining supply chain operations, and ensuring procurement practices stay aligned with company goals and regulatory obligations.
Key Accountabilities
You will work closely with executive leadership, cross-functional business teams, and international partners to support strategic planning, manage procurement-related risk, and strengthen procurement processes over time. The position includes leadership of a high-performing procurement function, building productive supplier relationships, and making sure procurement decisions contribute to lasting value creation and sustainability objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Deep knowledge of procurement and strategic planning, with the ability to build and deploy sourcing strategies at a global level.
- Proven background in supplier and supply chain management, including vendor assessment, performance monitoring, and risk control.
- Strong record of delivering cost savings and efficiency gains through negotiation, process redesign, and analytical decision-making.
- Substantial leadership experience with international teams, including coaching, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration across cultures.
- Excellent analytical, financial, and contract-handling capabilities, with the ability to read market developments and procurement performance data.
- Strong verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders and partner effectively across functions.
- Experience in telecommunications or technology organizations is an advantage, and exposure to large multinational environments is also beneficial.
- An advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline is preferred; professional credentials such as CPSM or CIPS are a plus.
