Role overview
Speedy Freight is looking for a Van Driver to support customer delivery work in Glossop. This is a full-time employed position based in the SK13 area, with an immediate interview process starting on 22 June. The role involves driving a company van, primarily for one dedicated customer, and contributing to dependable delivery operations across the UK.
Speedy Freight is a national logistics business focused on same-day and time-critical deliveries throughout the UK and Europe. The company has expanded its driving team after securing a new nationwide contract, and the position is part of its broader operations function.
The working pattern is Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings required depending on customer demand. This role suits a dependable, energetic driver who is comfortable in a busy environment and takes pride in service quality.
Key duties
- Move goods safely and efficiently for deliveries across the UK
- Handle urgent and time-sensitive shipments for business customers
- Load and unload items carefully and responsibly
- Act as a professional representative of the company at all times
- Keep records accurate and follow internal procedures
Skills and experience needed
- Applicants must be at least 25 years old
- A full UK or EU driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years is required
- No drink-driving or drug-driving endorsements should be on the licence
- Licence points must not exceed 6
- The ideal driver will be dependable, patient, and willing to work hard
- A genuine interest in driving and customer service is important
- Availability for occasional weekend work is expected
