About GoTymeX
GoTymeX is the product, technology, and design centre of Tyme Group. The team is focused on reshaping digital banking for emerging markets, with a mission to help people and small businesses reach their potential through better financial services.
About the Design Team
The design organisation is an award-winning group of more than 30 specialists across UX design, UI design, design systems, motion design, UX research, UX writing, and strategy. You will join the UX Writing hub: a compact, cross-functional team that supports product squads across several markets and defines the writing standards used by the wider design team. The team’s work has received six major design awards in recent years.
At GoTymeX, UX writing is treated as an essential part of design. Copy is expected to communicate tone, voice, accessibility, customer context, and brand at the same time. The team approaches content as both a craft and a scalable system, balancing detailed page-level work with reusable patterns.
Why Work With GoTymeX
- Make a direct contribution to financial inclusion and empowerment in emerging markets, supporting products used by more than 22 million customers across two countries and growing.
- Work in an innovation-led environment alongside product, engineering, and design teams using AWS Cloud, AI-assisted tools, and modern design systems, with AI used as a thinking aid rather than only a content generator.
- Be part of an international, collaborative culture that values ongoing learning, close teamwork across countries and time zones, and personal development.
- Access learning and development support through paid seminars, conferences, expert-led training, and overseas exposure.
- Join an award-winning design culture with a strong reputation and six recent international design awards.
About the Role
GoTymeX is seeking a mid-level UX Writer who can balance hands-on product writing with the responsibility of shaping the standards that guide the broader team. This role is centred on systems, scale, and reusable content patterns rather than one-off page copy. The ideal candidate will use AI as a collaborative thought partner to uncover patterns, test assumptions, and improve decisions. Because the work touches design, engineering, QA, and legal teams, proven cross-functional collaboration is important.
What You’ll Do
- Create customer-facing product copy for items such as microcopy, notifications, and error states, focusing on clarity and consistency across the full user journey rather than only at the screen level.
- Help define and improve content standards, style guides, and pattern libraries that serve as the reference point for the rest of the organisation.
- Use AI tools proactively to spot inconsistencies, generate draft alternatives for testing, and examine content choices before they are finalised.
- Review product messaging before launch to protect quality and consistency across markets.
- Analyse user data to understand customer behaviour, adapt messaging accordingly, and evaluate how UX writing influences behaviour and product adoption.
- Work closely with the UX Writing hub to maintain consistency, localisation, and accessibility across content.
- Explain and defend content decisions across functions, including with engineering, QA, legal, and brand partners.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in UX writing and content operations.
- 2 to 4 years of experience writing for digital products.
- Experience in UX writing, product writing, content design, or digital copywriting, backed by a portfolio that shows both hands-on execution and strategic thinking; a shared portfolio is required for consideration.
- A systems-oriented approach, with the ability to think in terms of patterns, scalability, and optimisation rather than only individual pages.
- Prior use of AI as a thinking partner in content work.
- Experience helping shape content standards, style guides, or pattern libraries, with clear examples of how your input influenced the outcome.
- Proven ability to work effectively across teams, countries, and time zones.
- Comfort using Confluence, Jira, and Figma in collaborative workflows.
Benefits
- Competitive pay plus performance-based bonus.
- Opportunities for career advancement.
- Work with a high-performing multinational design team.
- International workplace with an agile way of working.
- Hybrid setup with a mix of office work and remote work from anywhere.
- Overseas travel opportunities for training and work-related needs.
- Paid seminars, conferences, and courses to support learning and internal growth.
- Company-issued laptop with required software.
- Strong ethics and room for self-improvement.
