Where you'll work

Job description

Summary

Fruition Group Ireland is seeking a contract UX Designer to develop new product modules. You will transform MVP scope, defined by the Product Manager from customer discovery, into user flows, wireframes, and clickable prototypes for engineering teams. You will operate within the existing Cloda design system, extending its patterns rather than replacing them. Your design responsibilities will encompass the full user experience, including happy paths, error and empty states, permissions, and both mobile and desktop interfaces.

This is a hands-on, embedded role reporting to the CTO. You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager, principal engineers, and the broader engineering team. You are expected to iterate with engineers during the build process and gather customer feedback to refine the product. Given that engineering work begins in July, build-ready screens are required within the first few weeks. The role demands self-sufficiency, enabling you to interpret specifications, ask pertinent questions, and commence work with minimal supervision.

What We Need

  • Experience designing SaaS product modules from specifications, producing MVP mockups and engineer-ready flows based on acceptance criteria, without extensive prior discovery.
  • Proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping, utilizing AI tools such as Claude Design, Claude Code, v0, Codex, and Figma's AI features to accelerate the design process.
  • A default approach of using AI tools to enhance speed and deliver greater customer value.
  • A strong understanding of designing for flows and states, including edge cases, error states, empty states, permissions, and cross-platform (mobile/desktop) considerations, particularly for complex, business-logic-heavy applications.
  • Proven experience in a startup or fast-paced product team, shipping products rapidly, working embedded with engineers, and owning end-to-end scope with minimal process.
  • Ability to work effectively within an established design system, extending existing patterns and accepting direct feedback constructively.
  • Capacity to design with incomplete information, making sensible decisions, flagging assumptions, and iterating rather than waiting for absolute certainty.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with healthcare, clinical, or regulated industries, particularly designing intuitive interfaces for less tech-savvy users on mobile and desktop.
  • Experience designing permission-based, multi-tenant products.
  • Specific experience with incident reporting, risk, or quality-management products.
  • An understanding of AI-native product concepts, including how chat, voice, and automated actions can transform workflows.

Additional Information

Engineers will commence development in July, requiring build-ready screens within the initial weeks. Speed and self-sufficiency are critical from the outset.
