Job description
About the role
This is a remote, full-time position for India-based professionals supporting a US trucking carrier. The role blends freight sourcing with broker relationship development. You will be the key person responsible for bringing in loads, negotiating profitable rates, and strengthening broker partnerships so the fleet stays consistently utilized and commercially strong.
The position is suited to someone who works independently, makes business-minded decisions, and enjoys building long-term relationships that translate into reliable freight. It is not a back-office data-entry job; the focus is on ownership, communication, and revenue generation.
Work schedule
You will work US Pacific or Central hours and must be comfortable with night shift timing in India.
Daily responsibilities
- Review DAT and Truckstop load boards each day during US business hours.
- Find and secure loads that match the company’s lane-wise rate requirements.
- Discuss and negotiate pricing with freight brokers by email, portal, and phone.
- Send carrier packets to new broker contacts and monitor approval progress.
- Check in with broker contacts after successful deliveries to build stronger partnerships.
- Spot brokers with strong potential and prioritize them for longer-term lane opportunities.
- Review weekly metrics such as loads per truck, revenue per mile, and deadhead percentage.
- Bring relationship issues or high-value opportunities to US management for direct follow-up when needed.
- Keep clean, well-organized records of broker contacts, load activity, and rate trends.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in US freight brokerage or a US-facing logistics BPO role.
- Practical, hands-on use of DAT and/or Truckstop load boards is mandatory.
- Good understanding of the US freight broker ecosystem and carrier-broker working dynamics.
- Basic working knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service rules and US DOT compliance.
- Strong business writing skills for professional communication with brokers and shippers.
- Comfortable speaking English clearly when broker calls are required.
- Experience using a TMS platform such as Samsara, McLeod, Rose Rocket, or a similar system is preferred.
- Availability to work consistently in US Pacific or Central time zone hours.
- Ability to work independently and manage the daily workload without close supervision.
Additional information
This role is positioned for candidates who can contribute commercially from day one and take ownership of freight revenue growth. The company is building a remote operations team in India for a US-based trucking carrier.
The position is suitable for candidates with BPO or logistics support exposure, especially those with direct US trucking knowledge and a strong relationship-building mindset.
