About Designer Parfums

Designer Parfums is a rapidly expanding global fragrance business operating in the perfume and cosmetics space. Headquartered in London with international growth ambitions, the company is active in about 80 markets. It is a family-run organisation that creates, develops, and distributes a broad mix of brands, from heritage names to celebrity-led and lifestyle fragrances.

The portfolio includes owned and licensed brands such as GHOST, JENNIFER LOPEZ, HAWAIIAN TROPIC, CERRUTI, PLAYBOY, and JEAN LOUIS SCHERRER, along with distribution partnerships for ARIANA GRANDE, GUY LAROCHE, PALOMA PICASSO, AIGNER, and GANT. The business values an ambitious, agile, and approachable working style, and aims to be a positive and enjoyable place to work where people can be themselves.

Role purpose

The UK Brand Manager will be responsible for strengthening brand image and driving profitability in the UK market. Working in line with both global and local goals, the role focuses on planning, budgeting, and executing marketing activity under the guidance of the UK Marketing Manager.

This position is hybrid, with four days based in the London/Watford office and one day working from home.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the UK marketing calendar within agreed budgets and brand guidelines from license and global brand teams.
  • Develop marketing ideas and partner with the Trade Marketing team to improve brand performance across retailers, creating tailored plans where needed.
  • Maintain working relationships with license and global brand stakeholders and provide monthly as well as ad hoc updates.
  • Collaborate with the creative team on artwork briefs and take responsibility for approving brand artwork before it goes to license or global brand approval.
  • Plan, track, and optimise A&P spend to improve brand effectiveness and profitability.
  • Set the media approach, brief agencies, monitor delivery, and review campaign outcomes for the relevant stakeholders.
  • Forecast and manage UK stock needs for marketing activity, including sampling, GWP, and POSM, in coordination with the demand planning team, and escalate any supply issues.
  • Share the marketing plan and equip sales and trade marketing teams with the materials they need to sell effectively to retailers.
  • Handle enquiries from internal teams and brand partners, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
  • Attend meetings and coordinate with license/global brand teams and other internal functions as needed.
  • Oversee external agencies involved in media, PR, and similar activity.
  • Stay informed about the retail and consumer landscape, including market and brand developments.
  • Complete the administrative tasks associated with the role.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of marketing principles, budgets, stock planning, strategic promotions, pricing, and distribution.
  • Clear grasp of how sales and marketing work together, with the ability to balance global brand expectations against UK market needs.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills, plus the ability to listen well.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Well organised, adaptable, and able to manage several priorities at once.
  • Confident working with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving and idea generation.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Good presentation skills.

Work arrangement

This is a full-time onsite role with a hybrid working pattern: 4 days in the office location in London/Watford and 1 day from home each week.
