Job Summary

HarmonyTech Inc. is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to contribute to a federal government application modernization initiative. The role involves creating intuitive, user-centered experiences and modern interface designs for critical web applications. This position is based in Huntsville, AL, and requires U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop user-centered interfaces for web-based applications.
• Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
• Conduct user research and analyze workflows to identify user needs.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective user experiences.
• Establish and maintain consistent design systems and user interface standards.
• Ensure applications adhere to usability, accessibility, and responsiveness standards.
• Craft visually appealing and intuitive user experiences in line with current design trends.
• Participate in design reviews and offer recommendations for enhancement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in UI/UX design.
• Demonstrated experience in creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Experience designing responsive web applications.
• Proficiency with contemporary design and prototyping software.
• A solid grasp of usability principles and user-centered design methodologies.
• Capability to translate business requirements into user-friendly experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting federal government programs.
• Experience working within Agile development frameworks.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design best practices.

Soft Skills

• Exceptional creativity and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
