Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to shape digital products from early ideas through polished interfaces. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams and clients to create experiences that are easy to use, coherent, and aligned with brand and business goals. The position also involves thinking beyond traditional interfaces, including AI-supported interactions, adaptive patterns, and scalable product systems.

You will contribute to design systems in Figma within a certified partner setup, using advanced workflows and tools to help build product experiences that are consistent, flexible, and ready for future needs.

What You Will Do

  • Design digital products across the full product lifecycle, from early concept exploration to refined UI delivery.
  • Turn research findings, product needs, and brand direction into clear user journeys, interaction concepts, and detailed interface designs.
  • Partner with designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to ensure ideas are both user-focused and technically practical.
  • Use AI-assisted design tools in daily work, including prototyping and content generation, while exploring how AI can improve product experiences.
  • Help shape new interaction models such as conversational interfaces, adaptive components, and personalized experiences.
  • Participate in testing and iteration loops to improve solutions based on feedback and evidence.
  • Work with established Figma design systems, using components, tokens, and styles consistently while contributing to their ongoing improvement.
  • Follow shared collaboration practices in Figma and across teams, including libraries, versioning, and handoff workflows.
  • Present design work clearly and explain choices in a thoughtful, constructive way.
  • Contribute to workshops and collaborative sessions that help teams align on solutions.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks and deliverables while learning from senior colleagues.

Your Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably in an agency, consultancy, or digital product setting.
  • A portfolio showing strong fundamentals in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual execution.
  • Ability to translate requirements and user needs into structured flows and polished interfaces.
  • First-hand experience with AI-enabled design tools, such as generative design or prototyping assistants, and an understanding of designing for AI-driven products.
  • Strong Figma skills, including auto layout, components, prototyping, and working within design systems.
  • Familiarity with collaborative design environments, including libraries, version control, and handoff practices.
  • A strong eye for visual design, with solid command of typography, layout, color, and brand consistency.
  • Knowledge of core UX methods such as wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and iteration.
  • Confident communication and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow in both craft and strategic thinking.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving environments with a proactive and dependable mindset.
  • Excellent English communication skills; German language ability is a plus.

What We Offer

  • A key role in an independent design consultancy with an international portfolio covering enterprise product design, city identity, design systems, and regulated industries.
  • Direct access to partners and senior leadership, with flat structures, real autonomy, and the chance to influence product strategy.
  • A team of respected designers and strategists working in a no-ego, craft-focused environment.
  • Ownership of your work, room for your own ideas, and opportunities to grow with the company and the practice.
  • 30 days of paid leave, hybrid working, and a dog-friendly Berlin office.
  • Work-life balance support, including the option of a four-day week if needed.
  • Perks such as Urban Sports Club, a food club, and ESPI cuisine.
  • Regular team events plus in-house coaching and mentoring.
