Role overview

The studio is hiring a UI/UX Designer for its hit title, Idle Bank Tycoon. You will join the IBT team, supporting a game that has surpassed 60 million downloads. The role centers on creating screens, flows, and prototypes, running playtests, and improving designs based on player behavior, feedback, and data. You will work in a fast-moving agile setting and help shape future features while keeping the player experience simple, polished, and engaging.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product and other teams to improve the overall player experience.
  • Develop concepts, mockups, prototypes, and user flows for both current and upcoming features.
  • Build and manage UI assets, icons, interactive components, and design documentation.
  • Incorporate player feedback, usage data, and usability testing results into design refinements.
  • Suggest and assess design changes with an eye on product outcomes.
  • Contribute to improving the processes used by the design team.
  • Run surveys and research activities, then translate findings into practical design decisions.
  • Structure layouts and information hierarchies to improve clarity, consistency, and navigation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in the gaming sector.
  • A portfolio demonstrating interface design work and user flow thinking.
  • Solid grasp of design principles and visual perception.
  • Strong visual design ability, including both low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or equivalent software.
  • Ability to create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and user tests.
  • Clear communication skills and comfort working in a high-speed environment.
  • Interest in mobile games and awareness of current industry trends.
  • A player-first mindset.
  • Bonus: basic understanding of game design, human psychology, and behavioral science.
  • Bonus: experience planning and running usability tests and player research.
  • Bonus: experience producing and integrating UI assets and animations in Unity.

Eligibility

Applications are expected in English. A cover letter explaining your motivation to join the team is appreciated, though it is not mandatory. The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.

Perks and benefits

  • Competitive pay for high-performing team members.
  • A generous learning budget for books, workshops, conferences, and other development opportunities, plus internal training such as coding and German lessons.
  • Flexible working hours and home office options for better work-life balance.
  • Modern equipment, including laptops and phones that can also be used privately.
  • A monthly flexible budget of 50 euros through the Kolicard for uses such as fitness, commuting, or shopping.
  • A separate monthly mobility budget to make travel to work easier.
  • Relocation assistance for moving to Berlin.
  • Tax-free pension saving opportunities.
  • Free snacks and drinks, including fruit, coffee, smoothies, soft drinks, Club Mate, and beer.
  • Regular parties, BBQs, movie nights, and a team-event budget for games or sports equipment.
  • An annual company holiday for team bonding and relaxation.
  • Friday afternoon dinners and drinks provided by the company.
