Role overview

This is a remote contractor position focused on supporting AI data training work through structured, accuracy-driven tasks. The role is paid on an hourly basis and involves installing applications, following step-by-step instructions, and recording actions carefully while working on Ubuntu/Linux.

You do not need advanced AI expertise to succeed here. What matters most is being dependable, technically comfortable, careful with instructions, and able to work independently. The position is well suited to students, early-career candidates, and other tech-savvy people who are patient, focused, and comfortable using Ubuntu/Linux systems.

The company is a fast-growing AI data services provider that supplies training data to major AI companies and foundation model labs. Your contribution will help improve AI systems used across a wide range of products and industries.

Requirements

• You must have access to a personal computer running Ubuntu/Linux.
• You should be comfortable installing the required apps, tools, and project software.
• You need to be able to follow setup steps on your own without close supervision.
• Around 15 hours per week of availability is expected.
• The work calls for patience, concentration, and a strong eye for detail.
• You should be able to read and apply written instructions consistently.
• Be prepared for tasks that may be structured and repetitive.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with browser-based tools are necessary.
• You must be dependable, responsive, and able to meet deadlines.
• Students and junior applicants are encouraged to apply.
• Background in AI data training, annotation, QA, software testing, or research is useful, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Carefully follow written task guidelines and apply them exactly as instructed.
• Install and work with the applications needed on an Ubuntu/Linux machine.
• Review completed work to catch errors before submission.
• Spot unclear instructions, inconsistencies, or technical problems and raise them when needed.
• Stay focused during repetitive or detail-heavy work sessions.
• Finish assigned tasks within the agreed weekly time commitment.
• Keep communication clear with the project team whenever assistance is required.
• Help improve the quality of data used to train AI models.

Additional information

This is a fully remote, hourly paid contractor role with a project-based workflow. The expected work pace is approximately 15 hours per week. Candidates should already have their own Ubuntu/Linux computer and be comfortable setting up any required tools themselves.
