Role overview
A Dubai-based consulting firm is looking for an experienced Trust Lawyer to join its expanding team in the UAE. The position focuses on legal drafting, trust administration, regulatory adherence, risk control, and the support of trust product initiatives. A strong command of trust law, fiduciary services, corporate structures, and UAE AML/CFT requirements is essential.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Compensation
The position offers a monthly salary in the range of AED 18,000 to AED 20,000.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and revise trust deeds, trust agreements, and other trust-related legal instruments.
- Build and maintain a library of legal templates, standard precedents, and internal documentation for the Trust Division.
- Advise on trust structures, trust offerings, fiduciary arrangements, and related corporate matters.
- Support the creation and administration of trust arrangements in line with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Track legal and regulatory changes that affect trusts, fiduciary services, and cross-border wealth structuring.
- Assist with AML/CFT obligations under UAE rules and the relevant Free Zone framework.
- Carry out customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions checks, and ongoing monitoring activities.
- Help with goAML submissions when required.
- Take part in AML audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory checks.
- Contribute to compliance policies, procedures, manuals, and control frameworks.
- Review and support trust account documentation and related records.
- Help improve and expand trust products and services.
- Keep up to date with international tax trends, regulatory updates, and best practices relevant to trust structures.
- Train and guide internal teams on trust law, compliance duties, trust offerings, and regulatory obligations.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or an equivalent legal qualification is required.
- Prior experience in trust law, fiduciary services, private client services, corporate services, or financial services law is expected.
- Hands-on experience drafting and reviewing trust-related legal documents and supporting trust structures is necessary.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE AML/CFT rules and compliance obligations is essential.
- Exposure to AML audits, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, compliance reviews, and goAML reporting is required.
- Excellent legal drafting, analysis, negotiation, and advisory capabilities are needed.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage complex legal paperwork are important.
- The candidate should be able to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams.
- Applicants must already be based in the UAE.
- Strong spoken and written Russian is mandatory; Russian nationality is not required.
Additional information
An existing UAE Trust Lawyer with AML/CFT experience is strongly preferred. The role is intended for an experienced professional who can contribute to both legal and compliance functions while supporting trust product development.
