An established Irish logistics and transport business is hiring proactive Transport Planners to strengthen its growing operations. These are multiple permanent, full-time openings, with roles available in Annacotty, County Limerick, or Borrisoleigh, County Tipperary.

What the role involves
In this position, you will help coordinate daily transport activity, make sure routes are planned efficiently, and support strong fleet performance. You will work alongside drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to manage schedules, track deliveries, and resolve operational issues quickly so service levels remain high.
Key duties
- Build and refine daily and weekly transport plans so deliveries are completed on time and in a cost-effective manner.
- Organise fleet schedules, allocate drivers, and manage vehicle availability.
- Track delivery progress and deal with delays or operational problems as they arise.
- Keep customers informed about timings, service updates, and delivery requirements.
- Work in line with transport laws, driver hours rules, and tachograph compliance standards.
- Keep transport documentation and performance reporting accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to improvement efforts aimed at increasing efficiency and lowering operating costs.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant has hands-on experience in transport planning or logistics coordination, along with good knowledge of Irish roads and geography. You should understand driver hours rules and wider transport compliance requirements, and be comfortable solving problems in a busy operational setting. Strong organisation, communication, and teamwork skills are essential, as is confidence using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
